For David

Poetry is everywhere, you always told me.
Unless you sniff me I never saw it.

Poetry is everywhere, you always told me

Unless you sniff me I never saw it

You loved your body so much it got me amused

I sometimes imagine maybe one day you would love me as much, I fuse with the hem of my garment

I want to grow a beard I would say touching your chin

That would make a nice book theme you chipped, but I don’t care, watching you drink water

From head to toe, you curl you wrote me a poem once, I read it twice to figure out the meaning

I’m waiting for a night to kiss you, I pray I don’t hate you

You love milk and apple cider, my colour is black

Just when I was getting used to you, you left me blank again
