Know

They did not know, and they did not care to know.

Books on books and they didn’t see the need to grow

or feed their souls from starvation

Cry and write into these sheets or die typing words of triumph.

Enlightenment is better than nothing.

They did not know and they did not care to know

Love upon love and they didn’t see the need to bow

into themselves or throw in the towel when they had wronged me.

Laughing and singing about God,

is how you can get your hearts whole.

Ignorance is bliss so is wisdom.

When they knew they didn’t want to

read books or show love, write poems or sing songs.

They preferred the pride they rode on.

Cry to sleep, smoke some-

We don’t know, and we don’t want to know.
